We offer many programs and activities ranging from recreation, community, fundraising, and scholastics. We will work towards partnering with various groups, institutions, organizations, foundations, and corporations to sponsor and advocate the interests of our cause. Furthermore students will engage in projects that will assist in their development, as well our hopes is to provide an environment that will promote growth within the student and the community.

Have you experienced Kizomba Nation LA?

Kizomba Nation LA under Rome's direction is quite interesting. I have met Rome on many occasions and am very aware of all the exciting things that take place with his group. Unfortunately I am always busy so I have not truly experienced Kizomba as Rome demonstrates very well with his group. However the above video is a snippet of our private class. I was first introduced to Kizomba at a CSULB Salsa Beach Social. Further I was ecstatic when at a friend's party Rome broke down the steps and…

What is Russian Bachata?

I am not sure if this actually exists, but I am indeed mesmerized by this video. Further I just love how the video has a good mix to it, this tempo is not the norm for Bachata, hence why this choreography is exciting. If anyone is interested in learning this choreography feel free to message me. Further this is the video that inspired me to dance the way I do. My style does not follow the salsa or bachata rules. I simply just dance to the music and at times I have my moments of brilliance.…

Is the Armenian Dance the hardest Cultural Dance to Learn?

In all our upcoming performances and cultural nights I have found the Armenian Cultural Dance the most difficult to do. Here was one of our rehearsals in regards to the choreography. It is a snippet but imagine if going through the process with the full group and since we are about cultural diversity for the majority of us this was all new. On video they would make for good bloopers but in reality there were definitely moments of frustration. - Joshua Chit Tun

Highlights of what it takes to put on a Cultural Night.

At the time when I first established the Multi Ethnic Cultural Association years ago, we were not good at taking our own videos to reference later. Further most of our video content was never uploaded and forever lost. This is what I was able to retrieve. This shows what it takes to put on a cultural showcase but do note that for our "A Night of Cultural Diversity" the performances are much larger in scale and requires about 10 weeks for members to learn the choreography especially if they are…

Who is interested in the Salsa Fundamentals?

Every so often we put on a cultural night, however we quite frequently do socials that involves food and dance. That being said for those who are interested in learning the salsa fundamentals, the above video is a good start. You may practice on your own or with a few friends regardless you will find the above video very helpful. To say the least this is the video I use and it has helped me tremendously. I practice on my own and sometimes in front of a mirror. I have repeatedly watched this as…
