#NextGen Delegate

Mark Kramer and Joshua Chit Tun met at McDonalds at approximately 1:30 pm on May 14, 2015 for an advisors meeting to discuss the direction of ERHS Initiating Community Action and its initiative ERHS Girls Basketball.

This is what was discussed that applied to ERHS ICA.

1) mySTUDENTdirect.org and YoungINC.LA is fully integrated and functional. Between both sites Initiating Community Action can achieve more.

2) Photos can be uploaded through the following link: http://younginc.la/startups/initiating-community-action-erhs-chapter/photos
This link works for both desktop and mobile. Under ERHS ICA Nav Bar's area this link is referenced as the Press tab.

3) The ERHS ICA brand pages are presentable, ERHS ICA could be mobilized with ease, however moving forward with the initiative ERHS Girls Basketball, brand pages would be necessary as well as Press Releases.
Mark Kramer would start this process via the following link: http://younginc.la/startups/group/new
Joshua Chit Tun will help with the process.

4) Mark Kramer's assistant will manage social media. Mark Kramer discussed policies for social media, Joshua Chit Tun agreed with the concerns, as such those who hashtag and share are accountable for their actions and must be sociably responsible. To conclude the following hashtags #ERHSICA #ERHSGirlsBasketball will be used on Twitter and Instagram related pages.

5) Discussed the need to organize and share content as volunteer projects have been done, further new students to become ERHS ICA, and press releases to be formatted. These are all necessary steps in order to reach out to sponsors and build relationships.

6) Highlighted the implementation of upgraded features as it applied, further explored the tabs in the nav bar area and how it would apply to students and their initiatives.

7) Discussed the importance of students taking credit for their work, being recognized, and coordinating projects as need be and in the process building their resume.

8) To conclude grants, scholarships, community service hours, and letter of recommendations are some of the benefits of ERHS ICA to move forward in fundraising for ERHS Girls Basketball

Meeting concluded at approximately 3:00pm. Initiating Community Action looks forward in what can be achieved with ERHS Girls Basketball and the impact it will have on Eagle Rock High School and its surrounding communities.

Initiating Community Action helps residents and community organizations through community service and fundraising. Through ICA, you will not only be able to help others and be part of a fun-filled, goal-driven organization, but you will also receive college-certified, community-service hours, which looks great on any résumé.

Initiating Community Action is the official volunteer program of the STUDENTdirect Charitable Foundation.
