I am a qualified specialist in ballroom dances, ballet, vocal and piano performing arts. My native language is Romanian but also fluent in English, Spanish, Russian and Italian. My abilities are vocal performing, vocal instruction, playing piano, teaching piano, dancing, teach ballet and dance, composing music, composing lyrics, doing professional make-up. I began studying music when I was 6, with my specialty focused on piano. At that same age, my dancing education started in the Dance Sport Club Gloria from Chișinău. I graduated high school with my specialty being piano. Afterwards, I attended The National Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts to further my career. I was enrolled in the College of Jazz majoring in vocals and piano. I have been in many televised shows and interviews related to my modeling, dancing, and singing, nationally and also in the countries I have competed. I also have been in many interview shows internationally. I have won many awards such as the following: second place at the Ukrainian competition, Plai Natal, (“Narodnii krai”), in 2006, third place at the international competition, The Festival of the Youth, at Costinesti, Romania, in 2006, first place in the national contest, The French Song, in 2007. As a song writer, composer, and singer, I have won the following awards: I have won the Pop Up Tempo Category in the International Song Writer’s Contest, UNISONG, hosted by the United States of America, Song of the World 2007 by the International Festival of Pop music, hosted by Pompeii, Italy, selected for the final selection by the National Eurovision in 2003 and in 2008, Best Stage Interpretation and the special award, Artistic Recognition, by the international festival, Universong, hosted by Tenerife, Spain, in 2008, The Best Artistic Interpretation in the international festival, Polskiej Piosenki, hosted at Wrzesnia, Poland, in 2008, won awards in the international festival, Euro Pop Festival, at Bosnia and Hercegovina in 2008, won awards at the international festival, New Wave, hosted at Moscow, Russia, in 2009, won awards at the Miami International Song Festival 2009, hosted at Miami, FL, in 2009, finalist in the national contest for singers, Bring It on Hollywood, with her original song, “Everytime”, hosted at Los Angeles, CA in 2010, won a trophy at the festival, Singer Search, with the song, “Everytime,” hosted at Las Vegas, NV, in 2010, won a special award at the international festival, Carpathia, with the song, “Everytime”, hosted in Poland in 2011, and won a special award at the international festival, Verdi Notte, hosted at Battipaglia, Italy, in 2011. In addition to winning the aforementioned awards, she released her original song, “Everytime,” with composition and lyrics done by Ruxanda Calistru herself, arrangement by Slava Dashevsky, and production by Andrei Lifenco. She was the choreographer, a dancer, and backup singer in the video, "Donya," by 2 Beat Band, saubmitted for the International Persian Project hosted in Los Angeles, CA in 2010. The Romanian song, “Fata Cu Ochi de Foc,” entered in the National Selection for Eurovision 2006, written by Ruxanda Calistru, was aired on the New Zealand national television network, MVV TV, and placed in the European Top Charts 10. In 2010, She performed a dance choreography with her partner, Philip Gott, for the charity event, Dance for the Next Generation, to celebrate the anniversary of the dance studio, Champion Ballroom Academy, organized by Mary Murphy, the judge from the television show, So You Think You Can Dance. She also performed the Broadway show, Hairspray, with her dance colleagues at the same event. Recently, she was a finalist for the international pageant, Queen of the Universe 2014, while representing her country, Moldova, against fifty-nine countries.
