My top 5 goals:

1. I want to dance professionally, i.e; be in a dance company and perform wherever I can, as often as I can and make a living at it as well. 2. My goal to create is never ending. I love to make up stories and then put movement to my stories. Creating new ideas is what keeps dance alive for me when I cannot take class or practice. I want to become a successful choreographer. 3. I wish to gain enough of a foothold in the dance community to be given the opportunity to inspire others, whether it be my peers or the next generation. I wish to inspire people to believe in themselves and never give up on their dreams. 4. I eagerly desire to learn more. I love finding out new things about dance, since it is always changing, and teaching myself new disciplines, styles and movements. Any time I get to take a class and learn something new is so rewarding for me. 5. Along with learning new things, one of my major goals is to improve my skills. I wish to improve not only in strength, agility and flexibility, but also in other areas of dance such as stamina, the ability to process new choreography quickly and accurately as well as constant improvement of basic technique; being turned out, proper alignment of the neck and spine, etc. This is a goal I strive for each and every day.

My bio:

I have been dancing for most of my life, but only started to train seriously as a teenager. I have been classically trained in tap, jazz and ballet. I have also taken part in many other styles including hip-hop, salsa, modern (Horton), pointe and contemporary. I have performed at many venues such as the L.A. County Faire, Debbie Reynolds Showcase, various parks and carnivals, charity events, Moose Lodge, Glendale Community College, and The El Portal theater. While performing and going to school at Glendale Community College I have trained with a kaleidoscope of instructors including (but not limited to) Patsy Metzger, Rowdy Metzger, Lynn McMurrey, Dora Krannig, Victor Robles, Shirley Martin, Mike Nakauchi, Vanessa Dunn and Keira Hansen. I strive to perfect my art daily, and love learning and exploring new possibilities of movement through classes, videos and improvization. I have taught dance to ages 5 and up in various classic techniques and have been choreographing professionally for various venues and dancers since the age of 18. I did theater throughout all of high school and college, mostly Shakespeare and a few musicals. I was trained in the Meisner technique by Madonna Young and Scott Conte. I am very good at adapting to new situations. (example: I have played 7 different roles in a Midsummer Nights Dream.) I was also assistant to the director in high school and have since done other assistant jobs (memorizing the whole script, all the blocking, any dance choreography and/ or fight choreography, etc.). My most recent assistant job was with Rowdy Metzger in his dance theater show, Love Wounds. I also co-own a jewelry company, Foxwise (www.foxwise.biz) and am Vice President of a non-profit dog rescue group.
