Interesting, thank you for the informative posts. Please share with me any data on solutions that works, from what I was able to digest there are some cultural factors as well differences of the gender, further it seems not enough is being done to educate our children, our families, and communities of the reality of this on going situation worldwide.

      • Humanitarian Alliance Joshua, the Norse model is a great reference. Survivors of trafficking need to be treated as victims, not criminals. Support services need to be implemented and put into place, starting with housing. heart emoticon

        • J.C. for US Senate I will look into it in regards to the Norse model, as well the need for housing, is their any data that you can reference in the increasing number of refugees and any patterns associated with it. Thank you and apologise if my question comes off ignorant.
        • Humanitarian Alliance Most trafficking survivors in the US are domestic nationals. That's what people don't seem to understand. This is happening to our children in our own backyards.
        • J.C. for US Senate Sad to hear, thank you for the information, I will follow up.
        • J.C. for US Senate I have had similar expereinces where people are ingnorant of the truth, or to be specific the unsettling truth creates insecurities.

Joshua, Creating industry zones lead homeless to original residence (especially for farmers). Even the upper sector gave other places for them, these places are not good. On the land they cannot cultivate their crops,
have no good water for use and drink. Giving money for move their place is not enough for them. They lose their jobs, have no income. At the new place, some people open a small store, but other people bought by loan. In the end, they closed their stores. Not only for them but also for their generation face a bad situation, such as education, have not good water that is not sufficient for many years and for many households and also toilet system is really bad for health.

The second issue is human trafficking. There are so many cases, some parents sell their children for sex slaves or labor.
For poor country, most of time money is more important than humanitarian. For children, some parents are not good to them, so to protect their life, some really good orphan center are needed for them.

As for drug and human trafficking, at the police station, police sell drug. Some people caught by police because they are illegal enter to other country, these illegal people can also bought from police station.

Thank you this is a good feedback as I have spoken to a variety of individuals, and I have come to the same realization, yes moving forward we need to consider all factors as we do not need to encourage displacement in the hopes of a better future.

Putting this into critical perspective I do understand what you mean by farmers being dependent on suitable land for crops.

In regards to human and sex trafficking that upsets me so much, this will be addressed further.

  • Hillary Cliton said like that human rights are women rights. I should modified this in my situation. Human rights are LGBT rights and The LGBT are also human too.

I believe that as humanity we are all entitled to rights and further to be accepted as human beings, to not be discriminated as long as our beliefs do not bring harm to others.

      - J.C.

  • I am always fighting about the human rights and especially in LGBT and minority rights in this years. I am focus to promote the disabilities rights ,woman's rights, child rights and so on. Although most of the minorities groups Myanmar face inequality of human rights ,e.g.women suffer the home violances, No child protection law, Minority Ethnic can't teach the education in their local language. LGBT are discriminated in the local and government although there is none discrimination according to the Constitution of Myanmar.

I understand that what you must be going through is extremely difficult, is their any organizations that you may reference, so we can learn what programs, projects, and initiatives they have in place to be resolve this community by community.

It is upsetting to hear that there is no child protection law and that women continue to suffer home violence.

How does one resolve the Minority Ethnic not being able to teach education to the local communities in their own language.

Further are you implying that the Constitution of Myanmar does not recognize the discrimination of the LGBT Commuity?

      - Joshua Chit Tun

  • I mean like this ,in the Constitution of MYANMAR in the Part (8) this is the rights of the Citizen. It show there us no discrimination in MYANMAR although the local community and the government ignore the minorities rights and also LGBT rights.
