(The youngest candidate for US Congress on his advocacy for diversity and the youth.)
Former President John F. Kennedy once said, “The wave of the future is not the conquest of the world by a single dogmatic creed, but the liberation of the diverse energies of free nations and free men.”
Diversity is a gift of life. If all people look the same, think the same, speak the same, and act the same—then this world would be a dull place to live in. Through the contrast, we choose our preferences and after choosing, we see even more variety and choose further.
Diversity has brought us great pieces of art, music, food, ingenious technological inventions and enhancements, etc. It has also impacted our culture, beliefs, and traditions. It contributed tremendously in shaping our way of life.
There is a fine young man who exudes diversity in itself. He’s none other than Mr. Ramon Barajas III.
Born in Los Angeles, CA, Ramon Barajas III is mainly Spanish, Egyptian, Indian, Mexican and Korean. At the age of 25, he is the youngest candidate for US Congress this upcoming 2016 elections. He is known as a Student Leader, an Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, Humanitarian, and a Multi-faceted artist. He identifies himself with the working class, the youth, and of course the diverse—as he is actively involved with multicultural kind ships like Asian, European, Latin American, African, and Middle East communities in US.
He is an advocate for a reform in view of diversity. He reckons that this has been an ongoing issue, and it demands an immediate course of action. He lays emphasis on the need for equality among all cultures. He underscores furthermore that respecting and learning from people of various cultures, traditions, beliefs, and values, matter. He believes that all lives matter regardless of who you are. Brown, yellow, black, or white—all are precious beings and have something to contribute to the betterment of the society.
He had shown his leadership qualities at very young age. He had the opportunity to work with several cultural organizations for the past ten years. The one that has made a great impact to him personally, was the Multi Ethnic Cultural Association (MECA). On that group, he was able to meet people from different parts of the world with distinctive backgrounds, views, traditions, and of course, cultures. There, he was able to learn from those people and share their differences, without judgment and prejudice—which is actually should be our attitude towards one another, for there are no two individuals who are exactly alike; and accepting that we are different from one another leads to respect—with respect, comes unity and harmony. Unity and harmony are vital elements to achieve a better world.
He also had the chance to come aboard as the new Vice President of International Affairs for STUDENTdirect International, upon which he works with global communities through exchanged programs, ambassador programs, and so much more.
He goes on to work with other cultural associations in various communities up to this day. He believes that that’s where he would create a bigger impact. He does not only address the importance of equality and diversity, he also does what he can do in his utmost abilities, in uniting both the local and international communities with practical and smart solutions. He also fights to represent the next generation, the so called,Millennials. He debunks the idea of many of us that millennials are nuisance to the society. He highly esteems the youth because just like our Philippines National hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal, he believes that the youth is the hope of the nation; they are the hope of the future.
To be atypical or diverse is not a curse. It is actually an opportunity to create an impact and to be the change that you want to see. Being young should not also hinder you to achieve your goals; all the more you should use this season of yours to push your potentials beyond limits. These are just few of the things that the youth or beyond, can learn from this young and promising leader, Mr. Ramon Barajas III.

Min Ga La Bar Nyi Ma Lay. Thank You!
very welcome Ko Ko :-)
Further we have gone a long way from when at a very young age you donated give or take a 100,000 us dollars into something that at the time had no reputation, even back then you took a risk with generation next.
Your dream has still not been realized but you made it very clear what it was, even at such a young age and though at the time unrealistic, even now it is still unrealistic this dream of yours but you keep at it.
It reminds me of the little engine that could.
